Images and project details

Names, symbols and token identity come from chain state. token-media supplies images, descriptions and social links. Coverage is limited to newly issued, canonically confirmed tokens from approved releases, Factories and new implementations after activation. Existing tokens receive no backfill, migration or compatibility changes. A fixed URI alone does not prove the service is configured or verified.
Fixed location, editable content
contractURI() derives a fixed location from the chain and token:

Addresses contain 20 bytes, or 40 hexadecimal characters, preserving leading zeros. Public URIs contain no tokens/, revision or temporary storage signature. There is no URI setter. A fixed URI does not make its JSON immutable or guarantee automatic wallet or DEX display.
Public JSON contains name, symbol, description, image, external_url, external_link, x, telegram and properties. Chain, token and revision identify the content. Both external fields contain the same normalized website URL when provided, otherwise the site’s token detail page. External links remain third-party content without platform endorsement.
Editing and images
Only Factory.project(token).creator can authorize publication. A CTO wallet, holder or social login cannot substitute for the onchain creator. Media sessions and content publication use separate offchain signatures after creation. They spend no tokens and send no onchain transaction. Cancellation or failure does not undo successful creation or justify resubmitting it.
The frontend can crop images. Server uploads must meet static PNG / WebP rules. Public images are 512×512 static WebP with extra metadata removed. Arbitrary remote URLs are not image uploads. Descriptions are plain text. Testnet editing remains free, with a 10-minute (600-second) cooldown after successful updates. Free does not mean unlimited frequency or quota. Paid editing is unavailable. Contract-wallet signatures depend on verified release configuration.
Defaults and removal
Confirmed, covered tokens can have default details and a default image before signed publication, at revision=0. First successful publication uses revision=1. Defaults are not signed creator endorsements. JSON and images are separate reads and may temporarily span revisions; use image_sha256 to check image integrity.
Known unconfirmed or reorganized projects may return 503; unknown or out-of-scope tokens return 404. Removal returns 410 MEDIA_UNAVAILABLE, without substituting a normal metadata document or default image. Creators cannot remove a moderation block themselves. Removal affects site content, not tokens, transactions or the LP lock.
